Round-up: January on Polyvore

Phew - there goes the end of January! I'm super excited and happy with the start of the year, because I did something new: I took pictures yesterday with my first male model! (That doesn't sound dodgy...) Again, I didn't even ask him properly, yet he was gracious and generous as always. An excellent photographer himself, he is beyond belief when it comes to personal style.

Before I give too much away, here is my end-of-month outfit round-up:

#13 London Winter
#13 London Winter, imaginary stroll along Bankside in the cold

***

#15 Bright Days Ahead
#15 Bright Days Ahead, is parka + dress possible? playing with colours

***
#16 Fair and Square
#16 Fair and Square, black and white trend popping up everywhere, e.g. cool dress from Motel

***
#17.1 Chill Stripes
#17.1 Chill Stripes
There was a "stripes" contest, and I happen to own a few stripes piece, so I made sets with something I own/lookalikes!
It's sort of an extended reality... (have Forever 21 skirt similar to the one shown here)

***
17.2 Geek Stripes
17.2 Geek Stripes (same as above - Uniqlo tunic)

***
17.3 City Stripes
17.3 City Stripes (French Connection dress - love it.)

***

My profile says I've joined Polyvore "one year ago," but I've only really been an active user for two months.  Ideas for most of these sets are from "contests" - fun and funny how the "contests" to make the best-looking set is like some sort of vicarious dress-up contest.

Which is your favourite set? Leave a comment and let me know!
Polyvore users, please do follow me here :)
If you're not onboard, give it a go - if you enjoy creating collages and have 100 style ideas in your head, you'd love it!

  1. I really like the 'Chill Stripes' set. I'm insanely jealous of people having cooler weather atm. But I'm sure once it starts getting colder here, I will miss Summer.

ps: It's great that you are learning Spanish. How are you finding it? That's on my NY resolution for this year.

    1. Thanks Jo! Yeah I wish it's 5-10 celsius warmer than it is now... yet when it's summer I miss the cool breeze :p

Spanish is one of the easier languages to learn for English speakers. The accent is pretty fun - lively and loud - but the conjugations require lots of memorizing if you don't already know another Latinate language, like French or Italian. I stopped having classes so I'm starting to forget things! :/ haha let me know if you do start!
